I work in IT and want to know if there are opportunities in the area.
What are the main employment sectors in São Sebastião?
1 Answer
The local economy is driven largely by public administration, retail, and small‑to‑medium manufacturing. Service sector jobs, especially in retail and hospitality, are abundant. While there are few large IT firms, the city’s proximity to Brasília creates opportunities for remote or hybrid work arrangements. Networking events and local business chambers can help connect IT professionals with regional employers.
