My child is turning six and I need to find a suitable primary school.
How is the public school system in Mainz?
1 Answer
Public primary schools in Mainz follow the state curriculum and are overseen by the local school district. They are typically divided by districts, and enrollment is based on residential address. Schools offer support for German language acquisition and extracurricular activities such as music and sports. For detailed information on school catchment areas, opening times, and application procedures, visit the district’s official education website or contact the school administration directly.
