I have a background in education and tech, looking for job leads.
What are the main employment sectors in Moscow?
1 Answer
Moscow’s economy is anchored by higher education, which drives many teaching and research positions. In addition, there is a growing technology and software development presence, often linked to university spin‑offs and small firms. Retail, health services, and manufacturing also contribute to the job market. For openings, consult the city’s workforce development board, regional job boards, and the university’s career services. Networking through local professional groups and attending community job fairs can also help you connect with employers in these sectors.
A starting point only — it may be incomplete or out of date. Check official sources for anything important, and add your own answer if you know Moscow.
