What public transportation options exist for getting around Brookings?
1 Answer
Brookings operates a municipal bus system that runs fixed routes through residential neighborhoods, the downtown area, and the university campus. Schedules, route maps, and fare information are available on the city transit authority’s website. In addition, there are regional ride‑share programs and bike‑share initiatives that provide flexible short‑distance travel. For longer trips, intercity bus services connect Brookings to larger hubs. If you need assistance with accessibility, the transit authority offers paratransit services for eligible riders.
