What are the main industries hiring in Florence?

Florence’s economy is anchored by manufacturing, healthcare, education, and retail. Large factories and distribution centers provide many blue‑collar positions, while the university and its affiliated research facilities create jobs in teaching, research, and support services. The healthcare sector, including hospitals and clinics, also employs a sizable workforce. To explore openings, use statewide job boards, the city’s workforce development agency, or the university’s career portal. Networking through local professional groups and attending job fairs hosted by the chamber of commerce can also reveal opportunities that match your skill set.
